What brand did you find effective?

Now let's hope you avoid the rotting-head smell of the sinus infection that followed on its heels for me.

Oh, let's hope. Antibiotics do a number on my system -- yeast infection, digestion problems. I avoid them if at all possible. I'm washing my sinuses out several times a day to avoid this. Fingers crossed.
Yep. I was already exposed by then.

Well you probably won't need antibiotics even you get a sinus infection. Most of them are viral so antibiotics won't help anyway. Mine turned out to most likely be bacterial, based on it lasting more than 10 days. But even most bacterial sinus infections clear up on their own. Mine didn't, so I've been on antibiotics for 5 days now and probably will be for a few more days because I still occasionally get a slight whiff of that smell.

That sounds just dreadful.
There are days when I feel a lot of pressure in my head and ears. A long shower usually clears that up.
I cannot believe the amount of mucus. Day after day.
Husband has been coughing and hacking and blowing his nose for nearly a month now.

Actually it wasn't bad, except for the smell. There were mild headaches and occasional pressure but very mild, and hardly any nasal congestion. But the smell could knock down a horse.

No pressure.?
I've had sinus infections before and the pressure was always the sign.
I haven't been able to smell anything in two weeks, so I have no idea if a smell is coming from a sinus.

I said little pressure-it came and went, along with mild upper teeth soreness, but was never more than mild. I have a whoie thread on it just below if you want more gory details, but it was all very mild except the smell/taste. The only reason I was sure I had a sinus infection was because of the stench (I've only had 2 before in my life, and they always come with an awful smell) and the foul, acrid crud I hokked out of my sinuses now and then. And it was only in one sinus as far as I could tell.
