You provided no information about the cyst at all other than where it's located. There are many different types. No one here can examine it or you. No one here should be suggesting anything! So, you have two conflicting opinions. Yes, opinions. First thing I'd be doing is asking for clarification from the professionals who gave them. It may be enough to help you reach a decision.

Already did....just seems like a toss up as if it doesn't really matter.
I guess I was just looking to see if anyone went through this and what their experiences were, whether there were complications, etc.
I had a a pilonidal cyst removed when I was a young adult. It was "a round sac of tissue that's filled with air or fluid. This common type of cyst is located in the crease of the buttocks."
Had it removed because it was painful and would cause issues when it filled with fluid and then drained.

Glad I had it done.
Thanks. How was your recovery?
No issues with pain on this one, which adds to my indifference as whether it is worth bothering with.

As Parnassia pointed out, none of us knows what "this" is so we can't tell you if we've gone through "this", because "cyst in back" covers a wide swath of ground.
Dr. Pimple Popper has several videos on You Tube showing how she does that.... in case you want to de-mystify the procedure to yourself, to reduce anxiety.
My last doctor was unconcerned and recommended just leaving it alone.
My current doctor pesters me at my yearly physical to have it removed. It's not currently an issue but he says it could pop someday and get infected.
Debating whether to go through with this. Anyone have this done? If so, did you have to take time off work or have any physical restrictions?
Not knowing how big it is, it's really hard to say. I think you should consult a dermatologist to have them evaluate it.
If it is a lipoma, your best bet is to have it removed before it grows into your spine and muscles. Some of those back lipomas get huge.
A cyst is different then a lipoma.
I second going on Dr Pimple poppers you tube to watch some of her videos about back cysts and lipomas on the back.
