For some time now, I've been having an infection on my toe on my right foot. I went to the doctors many times before. Part of my toe is red and can bleed at times.

Excluding going to the doctors (I don't trust them) and getting my toe cut off, are there any suggestions on getting rid of my toe infection?

i would definitely see a doctor if this has persisted. you may need some antibiotics to get rid of this. I would rather do that than have a toe cut off! plus, I hope you are not a diabetic, that could really mean amputation of a toe, if not worse. get to the doctor!

Have you seen a podiatrist? They're doctors who specialize in the feet. I would make an appointment with one soon.

Is it the toe itself? Or do you have an ingrown toenail?

I also agree with the previous suggestion of soaking your toe/foot in a hot water bath containing epsom salt. There are other things you can do in addition to this for ingrown toenails but if it's just your toe, then you may likely NEED to go to the doctor's office before it does require something more serious. What did the doc say before when you went?

I couldn't handle the shots in my toe. And I was an ingrown toe nail.

Do you think the infection is bacterial or a fungal infection? You do need to have a doctor identify the cause. The treatment is totally different depending on what it is.

Two great bacterial and fungal infection fighters that I've found are tea tree oil and oil of oregano.

I figured it was an ingrown toe nail. I cut that piece off.

ouch!! Did you see a podiatrist at all that specializes in foot problems?

Don't go to the CHinese pedicure places either!! Too many fungal infections from those places. THey never wash the tubs out completely or their tools!
