If you can keep your diet varied, then maybe you won't get so sick of something that you never want to eat it again--to this day my little brother still won't touch applesauce.
Try to take it easy and keep yourself quiet. Load up on some chick flicks.
I remember being pretty swollen for awhile.
Thanks. I plan to park on the couch all weekend and watch season 4 of the Gilmore Girls on DVD. If things get really bad, we'll push it to season 5!
DH will be so thrilled...

I JUST GOT MINE OUT AND HE TOLD ME
NO JELLO, NO PUDDING, NO ICE CREAM, NO YOGURT AND NO SMOOTHIES!
If you do eat these things, you will feel nauseous.

HE SAID I COULD EAT EAT
MASHED POTATOES, PASTA/ MACARONI AND CHEESE, SCRAMBLED EGGS AND SOUP

Also, make sure that you eat about half and hour after your surgery- that is really important because if you don't, you will feel horrible later.

She's probably chowing on crunchy tacos and steaks by now. That happens sometimes after almost 3 years go by after the surgery! LOL! Care for some pork rinds, Debsi?

I had a couple shots of Jack and a beer chaser after mine.

Just helping the numbness to stick around for awhile.

I was 19 when I had my wisdom teeth removed. As soon as I got home, I was asleep for a long time, so I didn't get to eat until I woke up. I do remember eating lots of scrambled eggs.

That's right, roosty!!

Tacos, yum!

I think I ended up eating a lot of scrambled eggs and potato soup after the surgery.

I got mine done in the military and had such bad pain that I ate pain pills and water for 3 days. After that they were healed enough to eat anything besides really hard stuff like corn chips and the like.

Oh, an old post....for others, though, I don't thing anyone mentioned that drinking straws are forbidden after wisdom tooth surgery.

Ick. I'm getting two upper wisdom teeth pulled in December. Had gum surgery last year and some soft foods I had that weren't mentioned here include avocado and spinach souffle (frozen stouffers.) Both were a nice change from totally smooth dairy and felt like I was getting some different nutrients. I know this is an older post but it still could be helpful for others searching - like me in a couple of months!
