There seem to be a lot of anecdotal reports that statins increase some symptoms in women that appear like Alzheimer's, such as short-term memory loss, confusion, difficulty in speaking and communicating, etc.

I've noticed that the above symptoms become very strong when my mom has an illness, such as the flu. The symptoms go away when she's recovered from the flu or pneumonia. She's on 10mg Lipitor which is the lowest dose.
