Does anyone else suffer from this? If so what are you doing for it? I am currently on OC twice daily but still have breakthrough's. I am anemic and taking iron twice daily. My Dr. is talking about me having an ablation. Has anyone had this done?

What about an IUD? I had a Mirena IUD for uterine hyperplasia which got the bleeding under control. Unfortunately it wasn't suitable for me in the long term but I think the side effects I suffered don't happen to everyone.

I currently have the hyperplasia under control but the doctor has warned me should it return my only next option is ablation. We shall see. I am not convinced that I want something that extreme.

Have you decided not to have any more/any children?? The Cervical ablation will also prevent pregnancy.

Had the same issue a few years ago and my doc wanted to perform a hysterectomy. I refused, ended up having two more children and I have no more problems.

Has your doc thought about a D&C first?

I have had this problem for a few years. My Dr. wanted to do the ablation in 2005 but I wasn't sure I was done having kids. I ended up getting pregnant shortly after that meeting. I had my daughter in 2006. Now for the past 6 months I have had really strange cycles. I will go 45 days without a cycle then the next month it is making up for the missed cycle. I'm talking heavy, heavy cycle. I just not sure what to do. My mom had a hysterectomy years ago and she said it was the best thing she could have done. I need to decide soon or stay on birth control pills which are making me feel anxious all the time.
