This is some of my problems with Diabetes now, cann't remember anything.

Spikes in blood sugar can take a toll on memory by affecting the dentate gyrus, an area of the brain within the hippocampus that helps form memories, a new study reports.

Researchers said the effects can be seen even when levels of blood sugar, or glucose, are only moderately elevated, a finding that may help explain normal age-related cognitive decline, since glucose regulation worsens with age.

Just a little side note - Carbs make the brain able to process thought better.

Little connections

I do have to laugh at spikes in the blood sugar..maybe that explains the ditsy pot heads. Too many blood sugar spikes form the munchies...It wasn't the weed all along. It was the ben & jerrys!

Hello my friend! I have to disagree. Your brain and heart function better in the absence of carbohydrates. Since I cut most forms of carbs out of my diet I have more energy, better cholesterol/triglyceride levels and just feel better overall. It takes a few days to get used to but I love it! I am not overweight either...just trying to get my body fat to 8%. So far so good.

Yea I gotta be careful with my herbal vaporizer, makes you crave cookies :-P

I think you may have had a slight intolerance that will lead to foggy lags..
You do still get the carbs in your fruit and veggies. Those count.

They do count absolutely but I manage to get my servings of fruits/veggies and remain in ketosis.

There are lots of diets that work. "Eat to Live" is another succsessful which is vegetarian based.

Being I am very active/athletic I can't function on a diet that is 90% fruits and vegtables. I need more protein and I find that fat is a fantastic energy source.
