It's been one whole year today since I've had a cigarette! I can't believe it!

I used the patches and some mind games!

I won't lie and tell you that I don't miss it. Sometimes I do. I still like the smell of one burning but I hate the "after smell" now.
I'm glad I'm not the one anymore that causes others to wrinkle their noses in crowded areas.

And I promise not to ever become one of those annoying ex-smokers that don't do anybody any good.

Good luck to all who are quiting!

I dont know how long it is now for me but congrats to you....

I get cravings sometimes too. I have had some serious ones when the year turned over. I wish it was healthy because I used to love the sounds of the paper crawling down to ash when I was trying to think about things. Gum smacking is just not as relaxing. LOL

Did you see the recent report with "3rd hand smoke" dangers now?

What is third-hand smoke? Is it hazardous?: Scientific American

I just think back to how nasty my parents would be with smoking in the car and house and just being plain a-holes when I would cry about how much it burned my eyes and throat.

I know I would of never started smoking if they didn't.

Grr! It ticks me off that basically I was a smoker for almost two decades of developmental years no matter if I liked it or not.

I guess the only good thing about it is that it made me quit for the s.o. as he HATES it. Lung cancer runs in his family so I just quit for good. Plus the price....Its getting more and more expensive to kill yourself with pleasure. lol

I dont miss the stank one bit though.
