My daughter got the first Gardasil shot in April and since then she has had several little things come up, loss of appitite, increase in loss of hair, exhaustion, heavy feeling in her legs and what appears as a UTI that she was given antibotics for and still has some burning with urination and even after this she still has some burning. We have taken her for testing for the UTI again and were told that the first time she did not truely test for a UTI but that she had some bacteria in her urine. Recently she had a problem with blood in her stool and were told she had a internal hemmaroid at times the blood is little and at other times there was a larger amount, She has also had some problems with diarhea (went from a person who would not use a public bathroom to P and now at times has no choice). One week ago she got the last round of the shot and five days later started itching really badly, broke out in hives and started to have some swelling, back to the doctor for a steroid shot to help with the itching.
At the beginning of this the hair loss and the loss of appitite we thought were from the depo shot that she got on the same day..However when the depo shot was to be given again she did NOT do it and the only thing that has changed is that she has stopped having a large amount of hair loss.
It was not till after the last shot and the itching problem that made me start to research and start to think all of these things started at the same time she got the first shot.
I know that this is not as devastating as the stories I have read on your site but, just thought I would share.
Thanks for having this site so that we know we are not alone

Default Reporting Gardasil neurological side effects

Reading these posts I decided to look some info up (as I often do when there's something I find interesting or, in this case, pretty frightening.

I found that the vaccine contains aluminum, which in larger amounts is a neurotoxic agent and seems to have been linked to alzheimers disease, MS,MD etc.It can also affect other body systems eg bone, blood etc
One of the posters before mentioned that her daughter was having a blood test for HEAVY METALS eg mercury and iron, however aluminum,I assume, wouldn't be covered by this as it's a light metal.

I will post this link to a paper which discusses the evidence behind the vaccines claims (not helpful to those who've already had it) but also info regarding what I've posted above re aluminum.

It also contains some maybe useful MD names.

http://sanevax.org/wp-content/upload...-FINAL1221.pdf

PLEASE USE THIS SITE TO FILE ADVERSE REACTIONS TO VACCINES.
THE CDC USE THIS TO COMPLILE SAFETY PROFILES YET MANY MDs AREN'T AWARE OF IT!
Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System
You can also search side effects here.

If you look here
Gardasil and HPV Infection - National Vaccine Information Center
It's way out of date as it doesn't mention MS-which seems to be one of the side effects reported in the VAERS database

I look at the VAERS database of adverse events, read the article behind my first link and then read this
HPV Vaccine | The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
and wonder if they are all talking about the same thing.
So confusing.

Aluminum is also found in food and water. The amount found in vaccines is very tiny in comparison. To date, there is no evidence that aluminum in vaccines causes MS or Alzheimer's disease. If by MD you mead muscular dystrophy, that is a genetic disorder.

Anyone can report anything to VAERS. A report in VAERS does not mean there is a cause and effect relationship. It is just a report.

A VAERS report does not mean an established causal effect.

There does not appear to be a link between vaccines and MS:

http://pediatrics.aappublications.or...3/653.full.pdf

"Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain how vaccines might cause allergic or autoimmune diseases. However, flaws in proposed mechanisms are consistent with large well-controlledepidemiologic studies that do not support the hypothesis that vaccines cause chronic diseases. Furthermore because infections with wild-type bacteria or viruses are more likely to expose self-antigens and induce levels of cytokines greater than that found after immunization with attenuated or avirulent pathogens, some vaccines are probably more likely to prevent or modify than cause or exacerbate autoimmune diseases (eg, Lyme vaccine for genetically susceptible individuals, or influenza vaccine for patients with multiple sclerosis)."

Believe this one. The VAERS reports are just reports. When the actual cases were reviewed, a cause and effect relationship between the vaccine and the reported events was not established.

My daughter has made some improvements, but has never regained her health. It's been almost 4 years now and every day is still a struggle, but she has learned how to live with this "new normal". She has had to forego her university plans, as well as her Olympic dreams because she's still just too weak. She has her good days and bad, but thankfully the bad days are usually just days now and not weeks or months.

Since all of this has happened to her, I've spoken with probably thousands of people from all around the globe, who have suffered very similar reactions to the gardasil vaccine and the only thing they have in common is the vaccine. Merck has changed the package insert several times now, each time adding more and more known side effects, all of which are being seen in these young women - and now men, as well.

For any of you that have suffered a reaction, you can contact the moderator at Truth About Gardasil dot org. They have a lot of information and are very helpful. Thanks for asking about my baby! She's hanging in and is probably the strongest person I know.

You are on my mind a lot. I come & read your posts some days to remind me why I keep giving people information about this. The newest is an argument I'm having at a cancer forum.

I'll grab some information but they are now doing trials with HPV+ cancer patients & Gardasil to "hopefully" stop recurrence or a 2nd HPV+ diagnosis. When I post information for people; I try to post neutral stuff; so that I'm not looking like I'm against vaccines or even this vaccine- when I post; I do so to tell people to research 1st & to make sure their child should even be considered for it after it being offered to my daughter who should not due to muscle & bone pain as well as heart issues. I've also said that I'm very interested in the trial; after all; my hub is an HPV+ cancer patient. I feel I have to post neutral info because I do not know anyone personally that has a child with side effects.

The last post to me was pretty horrible & I'm still very emotional about it. The post was not even about Gardasil but turned into one where patients were telling the OP (original poster) to check the vaccine out! Yes; like go get it for your children & join the clinical trial on HPV+ cancer patients. I was laughed at & called names; they ripped me apart really bad. One was a nurse who came back twice to give me a lashing. They also reported my original post which had what I consider neutral information.

What stinks is that I spent 3 hours replying & when I hit submit; my post vanished. I have not been back since.

I am curious if your daughter had any allergies before she had the vaccine. My oldest daughter had a bad reaction to the vaccine, but fortunately her symptoms only lasted about a week after the first shot. We did not do the second and third shots.

The vaccine sheet they gave us had a note about possible problems for girls who have allergies. The sheet did not specify what kind of allergies. My daughter has a a food allergy and many environmental allergies.

I have younger daughters as well, and I am not sure whether I will allow them to have the vaccine or not. Unlike their sister, they do not have any allergies. I'm not sure if there is any connection between the allergies and the vaccine reaction. It may be impossible to tell.

Has anyone found anything helpful in treating this reaction? My daughter has been debilitated for six weeks. Her life is ruined. She is starting college barely able to think or physically get to classes. She has chest pains, trouble breathing, a white rash, and severe fatigue.

That sounds to me more like panic attacks than anything else, except the rash - which could -also- be caused by a bad case of nerves.

It's been about 10 years since your daughter had the vaccine; how is she? Hopefully you come to give us an update. I think of you and your daughter every time I see the Gardasil commercials on TV. "Did you know there was an HPV vaccine that would have protected me from warts or cancer? Mom, Dad... Did you?"

Do the new Merck HPV ads guilt-trip parents or tell hard truths? Both.
