Ugly Relative now has money for Cosmetic Surgery (cold, skin, insurance)

A relative of mine has been ugly for her entire life. She always had terrible skin which made it hard to look at her face. I do not have to get into details but it is not a pretty sight. I always felt sorry for her but never said anything. I always wondered why she did not go see a Plastic Surgeon to and do something. Maybe laser surgery could help.
I noticed that most people would not look at her when they talked. They tended to avoid her if possible. I could tell it was destroying her self worth and image of herself. She recently came into some money and I wonder if it is my role to suggest she spend it on her self. They say medical science has really improved in cosmetic surgery. Any ideas?
First off, I agree with Evey. I wouldn't go there. She might just be very comfortable with herself. Or maybe she is considering it, and just hasn't said anything to anyone. Maybe she just wants to go off quietly and have something done.
Coming into 'some' money is one thing. I was born with a facial birth defect, and I can tell you that plastic surgery is not cheap by any means. Some of it can be deemed as medically necessary, but if it's not, alot of insurance companies are shying away from covering 'elective' plastic surgery. Luckily, all of my surgeries were covered by insurance.
Afterthought.....
Why do you call her an 'Ugly Relative'? That alone seems pretty cold to me.

This part is fine...go ahead and tell her to spend it on herself, but stop at that point...she should spend it however she chooses. Otherwise, just please don't say anything because, guaranteed, she'll feel worse if you point out her need for plastic surgery as perceived by you. (Plus, she may punch you in the nose and you may need surgery! )
