For the past week and a half I've been getting these mysterious rashes (that resemble bug/mosquito bites) but they can't be because I'm always covered from head to toe plus I haven't been outside for more than 5 min (I drive). It started out with 2 and now I have 5 on my arms, one on my ankle and one on my back and chest and they itch like hell..I haven't tried any new products or food so it's definitely not that.

I doubled checked and cleaned/sanatized EVERYTHING so I'm just confused and frustrated. Could this be something in the air? The SAME thing happened to my mom..

Do you have pets in your home? Flea bites resemble mosquito bites, just a tiny bit smaller and they itch like heck. If your mom is exposed tot he same areas as you, that makes sense.

Seriously (and more helpfully), that sounds like urticaria, which has many, many causes. There has already been a thread or two on this...search it.

Urticaria was in the back of my mind but since the mother also have it (urticaria is not transmitted is an allergic reaction) is unlikely.
It sounds more like a bite from some insect (bedbugs, flea, etc.)

Were you guys somewhere with (a home) with someone who has pets?

Where I live it has been a wet season and the fleas are off the wall. Our cat is an indoor cat and somehow they find her.

Oh... you can also carry fleas in on your clothes from outside even if you do not have a pet.

It's funny you mention that, I'm in Northern NJ and it has been raining non stop for about a week, the rain subsided eysterday and will be back tomorrow.

Last weekend I washed out my sheets and bedding, towels, shower gloves and clothing with hot water. I also dusted and sanatized everything and I didn't see any bedbugs.

Maybe you have shingles...Shingles can appear in any part of your body..and they resemble small bites....do the little bumps itch & hurt?
