Who cleaned out his home after he died? If he had AIDS, he almost surely would have had all kinds of medications around his home that only an AIDS patient would be taking.

Hey Christina,

That I don't know. I believe his friends cleaned his home out. He told two of his friends a few weeks before he was hospitalized that he was going home to be with his mother. His mother is deceased. I believe he stopped taking his meds (knowing he did not have long anyway) and was in the last stages. He had to have told the two friends he confided in to help him plan his death. They actually made his funeral plans and everything. They drove him to the hospital from Atlanta to South Carolina as he wanted to pass in the hospital close to his family in South Carolina. I remember at the funeral the family was very upset with the two friends that had left them in the dark. It has been three weeks so the family has probably figured things out by now or may have been told.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. By the grace of God my friend's family was able to get a hold of his medical records and discovered he was diagnosed with AIDS in 2003. I'm happy they got closure and I'm happy for me too because I really believed this was the case but now that it is tangible I can move on to the next step in the grieving process. I'm still suffering with the circumstances of my friends death and hope this period of grief ends for me.

Good to hear that you and the family can move forward. It's a sad diagnosis and he was probably trying to protect those who love him. I wish you well!
