And floridians?!?!? Anyways I think you are right. I don't mind the temps being in the 90's +, but I do notice that when the humidity here gets up past 70%, I seem to feel more tired. Or maybe that's just a symptom of getting older? I don't think, for me anyways, it has anything to do with amounts of sunshine, most days we will have some sun, even during rainy season, it's just humidity.

Thanks,

are you in new england?
my friend in MA is dealing with some serious depression / lethargy due, in part, to the weather y'all are having.
very strange.
if you're in the city, it may be the combination of the humidity and the air quality.
but yeah, humid weather tends to make people feel sludgy.
it depends on your system though.
some people thrive in heat, some in cold, some like it moist and warm or moist and wet, etc., etc..
i don't like extremely humid weather (especially combined with poor air quality) but i really don't like it when it's super hot and super dry.
i find it suffocating.

Yup, that's where I am, so I guess that pretty much explains it. Sounds like folks all over the state are struggling with a similar lethargy due to our tropical rain forest summer.

Sometimes a Great Notion, Ken Kesey's second novel (first was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) talked about the rain forest climate of coastal Oregon.

Haven't read it in years, but I still remember the logger's wife depression due to the unrelenting rain, drizzle and gray dampness. She was very upset when she opened up some of her treasured books and found them covered with slimey mold...as were her shoes...yuck...

Rain's good, but too much rain drowns our happiness...

It's been unusually wet in the Northeast this year..my brother, an avid bicyclist, has been very unhappy with the muddy trails in PA...
