I have no problem seeing a NP for basic health issues (sinus infection, basic gyno care).
On the rare occasion I have needed to see a specialist doctor and they asked if I wanted to see the NP at the specialist's office, I declined. If my primary care physician found the issue serious enough to refer me to a specialist, then I want to see the specialist.

Don't know but I would rather see my NP any day over the dr. She spends a lot more time with me and goes over things more than any dr I know.
