The government isn't going to make it mandatory.
I have worked in healthcare for several years now, and while vaccines were often recommended and provided, I haven't come across any employers that made it mandatory. Other posters might be able to provide examples demonstrating otherwises. I have not heard of any schools that were going to make the H1N1 vaccine mandatory either - can anyone give examples otherwise?
How could it possibly be mandatory? The US government ordered less than 200 million doses, far below the population of ~305 million. Additionally, what would the tracking mechanism be? Perhaps it is summed up in that video, which I will not bother watching.
Your question is a contradiction. If something is "mandatory" than how does one have the option of "taking" "it?"

It's the new scare tactic against the government. When I asked my doc about it, she started laughing and said that it was a rumor to get people riled up.
According to several reports I read yesterday they are not going to make it mandatory. In the first place according to an article the first doses of the H1N1 vaccine will be flumist, not injections. And then they are further behind on the shots that it intially will only be available to high risk groups.
