I used to work in two different drs offices and both of them made the employees do this. I did not oppose.

The shots were given right there in the office and they were keeping perfect track of it.

Kibbles,

You need to address HR and then an attorney or legal aid if necessary. I do believe in certain states, under certain circumstances (this recent epidemic may qualify) a hospital may require shots in some positions, but you may be able to go through some sort of appellate process. Start with HR then move on to a lawyer. However, be prepared that you may be out of work until the peak season has passed (without pay). It could mandated because it could be a liabilty issue.

If there is no law making it illegal then it is legal.
Like I said: do you have a UNION
If you don't, shame on you

Depends on the state and local government. Each jurisdiction is different. OP needs to ask HR for the mandate. As an example cut and paste this link. Its more common that you might think.

Wrong, in some cases it could be mandatory (health care workers in a hospital).

If you say you got it elsewhere you have to have a form with very detailed info on it, telling when, where, who gave it to you, etc.

What should I do? I am thinking about quitting over this.
You work in a hospital, yes is mandatory for most people (if not all, depending on state and your contract)

The WHO does not and never did make federal or state laws.

The WHO makes global recommendations not laws.
In NY (at least NYC) is mandatory (at least for me it is).

in my last job nothing came across my desk that was not stamped "mandatory" and "priority".
