My son had it in early September, missed 2 weeks of school and it turned into pneumonia.

My husband and I seem to have it now, but different versions of it.

It seems too early for 'flu' but I guess that is what it is. All I know is it's wiping me out with low grade fever, chills and exhaustion.

I wonder if this is the 'swine flu' they keep going on about...?

My kids and my neighbors kids have had something similar. We were told by our doctors that it was just a virus not the flu. Symptoms were fever 103 to 104 for four to five days, chills exhaustion. My neighbors kids had the fever with cough and one of them even had vomiting. I personally have been down with something nasty too for the last month, cough, swollen tonsils, exhaustion, no fever though. (wasn't strep either)

Nasty stuff going around. I had become the handwashing freak of our house. I will be glad when flu/sick season is over.

I hyave always thought that the distinguishing mark of flu vs. another virus/cold is that you ache all over. When I have had a really bad time w/flu, even my teeth ached.

Most offices are using the rapid flu tests, and they are not that realiable and in detecting the H1N1 virus all the time.

I do know for a fact that this has been an issue in some parts of Texas.

5 days ago my kids were sick for a day or 2 with a low grade fever and a cough. I came down with it last night, but my fever is 102. Body aches, chills, cough. I wonder if it is the same thing the kids had or not; and I wonder if it is indeed the flu.

Just picked up my granddaughter from preK in Acworth, Ga. The teacher said there were many sick, and to be on guard. Be religious with hand washing, and use those wipes before you get your shopping cart.

yes..ugh!

Been down with something since Wednesday. From those I have talked to that have had it, they have been told it is a virus and some told the flu. All I know is, it sucks.

Today I am mainly just exhausted, sore and have a sore throat and the icky mouth feeling that comes with that. Oh and not to mention that stiff/sore neck from sleeping on the couch to try and keep DH from getting it.

I hope you all feel better soon!
