I just saddens me when I am in traffic and look over and see a child in a smoke filled car. That is what I had to go through growing up. I am so glad my son does not have to go through that! I am glad the laws are changing to make it ILLEGAL to smoke in the car with children! How selfish of these smokers? It is just not fair. And it is not fair that these kids will have some sort of lung damage because of it:

Don't be mislead. The "science" on the dangers of second-hand smoke is junk, deliberately crafted to further an agenda.

Second hand smoke isn't as harmful as the exhaust fumes pouring in the car window, so what's the big deal about smoking in cars? Would it be better to roll down the window and give the kids some "fresh" air?

My dad used to smoke in the car .... and often the window wasn't even rolled down!
I still have a bit of an addiction (thanks dad ... kidding ... sort of) but i won't even smoke around my dog and i certainly wouldn't smoke around children.
I go and hide and sneak and couldn't enjoy a cigarette if i knew it was bothering / harming someone else.

My parents both smoked like chimneys when I was little. If I got sick, it took forever to shake it because the whole house was full of smoke. I started smoking for the first time when I was 12, because I wanted to know why my parents smoked. When I finally quit, for the first time I found out how bad smokers smell because I had been living with it since birth. I probably reeked at school, it's amazing I had any friends!

My dad lit up in the car and the house and I remember having bronchitis a LOT as a kid.

I wound up smoking but at least never ever smoked in the house or in the car with the kids. I have quit repeatedly, hopefully this last time really IS the last.

Yeah, my dad died of lung cancer, I have high blood pressure-who knows what the future will hold?. Sorry, there is no way this is good for you.

I actually had severe chronic ear infections as a kid! I thought it was normal to have ear aches all the time. It's a miracle I am not deaf... I recently found out it might be due to the constant SHS...
