Had to drive 35 miles to get it, but I feel so much better now. I work with sick people on a daily basis AND my wife is 7 months pregnant, so I feel it was more than necessary. Anyone else receive it ? I got the flumist version (live virus)

Were you high on the priority list because of your work? I'd be willing to pay a premium for the vaccine but my doctors and drug stores here in Houston have all advised me that the H1N1 probably wont be available to anyone who doesnt fall into certain categories.

I got it at an urgent care center...a privately owned one. It was the 2nd day they were offering it. There was no lines outside the door with people waiting for it as you would may imagine. There were only 4 people in front of me. The receptionist said it was on a first come, first serve basis. I'm sure if they were overwhelmed with people wanting it and only had a limited supply, they would have followed the CDC guidelines for priority :
-Healthcare workers
-Pregnant women
-people who work with children
-children
Yes, I am a firefighter/paramedic AND I teach EMT's at hospital clinicals as well as classroom settings. One of my students already came down with a confirmed case of H1N1. But they never asked me my occupation at the urgent care center. Again, it was first come first serve.
As someone who does not trust the Federal government and does not trust China for the production of this vaccine, I am opting out!
Europe designed the vaccine, but China is producing it. Scary stuff folks. I hope those injecting themselves with this quickly and poorly designed formula, produced in a country known for death and lack of quality control, works out for you. No thanks! Not for me.
Biotene sold at local health food stores is an option. There are others. Do not get this vaccine. Go to your local health food store and talk to a salesperson about what is best for you. Also, consider buying other vitamins like a multi along with organic foods. And, listen to Duke and the Dr. online or check to see if a radio station in your area carries the show. Stop listening to the propaganda put out by mainstream doctors and the political champions of sick care!
Baxter's little incident where they "accidentally" released millions of doses of live H5N1 Avian flu as a flu shot in the Czeck is all the motivation I need to never, ever get any vaccination ever again. Here is a good link totally showing it, there are dozens of others you can find but for some odd reason the American government granted Baxter totally immunity and refuses to talk about it...I wonder why that is?
