I have a compresssed disk, so I've been using an inversion table to try and stretch the spine out along with the compressed disk (hopefully). It seems to help, but when I neglect using the table, then I start to get pain. I'm starting to wonder if my mattress (or lack thereof) has anything to do with it. I sleep on an air mattress. Duh! So my question is: would you recommend a firm mattress or what? I'm thinking I should try to find a Sealy if not a Sterns & Foster which is top of the line.

I have had 2 spinal surgeries and I love my Temurpedic mattress and pillow. Expensive but worth every penny!
