It's not just eating fruits and vegetables, it's doing a complete turn around in your diet. No processes meats, no sugar, no white startch, no junk food.
Let me tell you the best thing against acne:
Tea Tree oil/ Aloe vera extract mixture. You can get it in a health food store. Mixed together, they work great against acne.
Lastly, yeah, tanning salon can help, especially against back acne, but it's a temporary solution and overuse can cost even more harm then good.
Do eat healthy, and work out. Do get vitamin D and C (and the rest too).
Do not eat greasy foods, do not eat sugary foods (totally avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup).
Do ask your dermatologist to try out minocycline, as you may have rosacea. This is doubly so if you are of British Isles (Britain, Wales, Scottish, Irish) descent. I'm Irish, and I had exactly the same problem until I saw a second doctor and she prescribed minocycline. TOTALLY GONE after that. Your doctor is wrong if he or she says it only occurs in females, as I'm male and around 65% of men from the British Isles have rosacea.
you have to think from the outside in not the inside out. what you put inside your body effects what comes out.
drink half your body weight in ounces of purified water a day. avoid all grains (flour) and cow's milk dairy (choose goat's milk products). start taking 1-2 tablespoons of cod liver oil a day (not the pills, they can turn rancid) and 50-100 mg of ionic zinc a day. also milk thistle boosts liver function.
