=P A soft drink is 90% water. Then 10% stuff that makes it taste funky.

But yeah, most people won't add salt to their water unless they have to retain it. Most marathon runners do this.

Good banter! Now I understand salt, water and sugar better. (Not being sarcastic.)

I missed your question. There are cases that you can swell up because of an over abundance of water in your system. I was reading about someone that had their fingers swell up because of too much water, and their bodies weren't expelling enough of it actually.

I started drinking 1/2 of my body weight in ounces of water per day. For example, if you weigh 100 pounds drink 50 ounces of water. I lost 68 pounds and still eat whatever junk happens to strike my fancy. Water made a HUGE difference for me.

Water totally keeps me full.

Every summer Wal-mart sells these 64 ounce cups. I have one and fill it up every day and finish it so I know I've had my 8 glasses. Love it!

Yes, water can help you lose weight. It suppresses your appetite also. It cleanses the body of toxins (the bad food, etc.) and makes you eat less too, when drinking it all day.

I also try to drink half my body weight in water. In my experieince, it really does help speed up the weight loss, I think of it as lubricating the gears of my metabolism!

Don't eat so much and you will loose. My co-worker is determined to lose 50 pounds - she's doing great The less you eat, your stomach shrinks and you don't beed as much food.

You'll do fine.
