I was having some weird nerve pain in my upper left arm and lower right arm the last month ... so my doctor did an xray of my upper back, lower back, and shoulders. I get a phone call today that says I have "severe arthritis and narrowing of the neck" and am being referred to a specialist.
So I begin to read about this (assuming this means Spinal Stenosis?) and it is supposed to be a condition that you get after 50+ years old. I am 29. Should I be worried? I guess I am really nervous because one of the many causes couldbe spinal tumors ... and normal degeneration doesn't really hit until 30's or 40's. Of course, I do stay stressed at work and work on a CPU ... so I hope that could be the cause.
Anyone ever had experience with this? Just trying to calm myself until my appointment with the specialist.
Whatever condition this is, it sucks. Think a disk is pinching a nerve or something. Getting these random electric shock stinging sensations througout arms and legs now. Also the inside of my left knee (starting today) is in constant pain and hurts to bend or straighten. Anyone ever experience this? I know the random nerve "shocks" are unfortunatly normal if a nerve is being compressed, but the knee thing is somewhat freaking me out. Can't wait until I get a call back from the specialist with an appointment time.
