A coworker had to switch her BC because of that. It just devloped.

Also being a veggie does not = healthy.

I would question if she had an eating disorder. If she has been purging (puke) in secret all this time eventually you get to a point where nothing stays down.

I think she needs to see a GI specialist.

If its stones have her look into drinking apple juice and taking chanca piedra.

BUT

Do not take herbs or anything like before checking with any other med she is on and making sure her liver and kidneys are healthy enough to handle it.

What does she eat in the morning? She could of developed an allergy to soy too if she eats that a lot. (common) She will just have to avoid it and let her body return to normal. I think its 3 months of avoiding a food takes you back to normal.

She should go over "veggie health problems" too. Does she throw up after taking vitamins? Is that what is happening? Empty tums hate that.

Thank you for the ideas Pitt. She eats cereal in the morning. Actually she eats it a lot as a snack too. She dose eat a lot of soy foods, and I had thought she could possibly have developed a food sensitivity to something in her diet. I also still suspect the BC even though the women's clinic ruled it out as a possible cause. 4 periods in one month and at the same time having nausea/puking makes me think the two things must be somehow related & connected w/ the BC or other "womanly" problems. She has had to swith BC in the past because of problems. I am going to tell her to see a GI specialist, hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this. I know she is pretty frustrated. I don't believe she has an eating disorder, there's never been any red flags (excuseing herself after meals, weight loss, ect).

BC can also cause blood clots, its rare but it happens and is usually listed on the insert as a possible complication. If the blood clot is in the intestinal tract it could cause vomiting. I would certainly have her checked out from top to bottom.

My bet is it is the "pill"... Doctor dismiss any side effects of drugs they give you and some will deny it even though they know it is a side effect.

My eldest son has been diagnosed with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. It is a very rare thing. None of the doctors that he has seen in the last 4 years of having this problem have ever heard of it. I identified it with the help of the internet. His cycles are it hits first thing in the morning and he throws up every 20 minutes around the clock for 8 - 10 days then it just stops as quickly as it started. Everyones cycle is different. It comes on periodicly without warning.

Here is a link to the 1 place in the country that is studying this problem. Cyclic Vomitting Syndrome Association

Please forward this info to your sister and she will be able to see if this is her problem.

If you are interested, I can email you an article sent to the Doctor in Wisconsin. Just pm me.

Hope this is not her problem
