Has anyone every noticed a strange reaction to XR medication? My doctor gave me a new med that was XR. I had a horrid reaction to it, so he switched me back to the regular.
I went back a couple of weeks ago, and he gave me a different medication with XR and I am having the same reaction, anxiety, dizziness, can't think straight.
Which medication though? XR just means extended release so it stays in he body longer so I suppose if you have a reaction the reaction would stay in your body longer than an IR release. What kind of reaction as well? Is it a side effect or an allergic reaction and have you contacted you prescriber to alert them of this issue
I had Luvox (sp?) XR first. And my doctor gave me Xanax XR this time. They both gave me the same reaction, so I wonder if there is something they put in the meds to make them extended release. I am going to ask the pharmasict when I go to pick up my new meds. I just thought it was strange.
So infuriated with the pharmasict who said there is no reaction to extended release tablets. Needless to say I did a Google search, and yes there is!
What kind of reaction are you having? It is the same medication just an extended release form.
