Pure curiosity, because I went back on it about a month ago after a year and a half long break and found that the five pounds I lost when I went off of it have magically reappeared without any changes in diet and exercise. And I found, as many do, that my breasts went up a cup size and became much firmer, fuller, and slightly tender.
None of this bothers me, I just think it's interesting how changing nothing but my hormones can change my body. I'm on a desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol pill.
What has been your experience?

What brand of pill are you on? There are some that will cause you to gain weight almost overmight and there are others where you can lose 10lbs without even trying.
I've never been on the pill. The first time I started BCPs was this past summer when I started having issues with my cycle.
My OB/GYN did a bunch of tests and we found out I'm perimenopausal and he suggested a low dose pill. I was LoLoestrin for about 3 mths..had great results as far as hot flashes, mood swings and sleeping problems. But, I was having 2 periods a month.
I also lost the 10 lbs I gained 'overnight' without any effort.
We then tried FemCon and had amazing results
I was once again a happy camper. No weight gain, actually lost a few more pounds.
I filled the script and the pharmacy thought they'd "be nice" and give me the generic (Balziva) because it was free. They assured me it was the same stuff, I won't have any reactions, and I wouldn't even notice the difference.
Oh, how wrong they were!! By day 7 I was ready to kill people. I was in the worst case of PMS like symptoms, I gained weight, I bloated up, I had horrible lower back pain, breasts hurt like mad.
I literally begged the pharmacy to change the script because I couldn't take it anymore. I finally got my new pills 5 days later and started them right away...right in the middle of the old pack..I didn't care that it would bring a period on..I just wanted to be normal again. I don't care if it costs me $30 a month..my sanity and the sanity of those around me are worth it.
I was looking up Balziva and was amazed that with all the reactions woman are having, it's still on the market??
It is very interesting that a little hormone pill can affect you in such a way..be it positive or negative. And how quickly it can bring on changes is even more amazing.
I know ppl who had the IUD and while they loved it, they hated the weight gain. Same goes for the injections and the implants..they all gained a lot of weight...30 plus pounds.
I do know that while I was on Balziva I 'felt' hungry all the time..I knew I wasn't hungry so I wouldn't eat..but I sure felt like it. Crazy.
