I was wondering what are the options in terms of health and dental care for those of us who are unemployed (both those that receive and don't receive unemployment benefits)?

I know there are government programs for kids and the elderly, but what about the rest of us?

Speak to the finance office of the hospital you usually use. Most facilities have a short term assistance plan for people that experience financial hardship. Eligibility is based on income sources and amounts.

Many dental schools offer free or reduced services. However, my understanding is that there are usually waiting lists or lottery systems.

Thanks.

I've heard of the dental school option. I had an ex do it and he was lucky enough to have only had to wait a week to be seen, and it's a really big city.
