Do expecting women also expel gas during the delivery? I want to be prepared if this happens to me someday and if it is common or not.

Childbirth is a messy smelly icky thing....even without the poo [which does happen].........thats all there is too it. The outcome is beautiful though...and it is perfectly natural.

It seems messy in a hospital but I have seen some births where women gave birth while in water and it's completely different.

Please don't take my smelly icky statement in a negative way though. I had to have c-sections but I was there for both of my grandkids and while icky it was simply amazing to be there .. our second one ....my daughter had a 9 pounder with zero meds and I was just capitvated at how ALERT and tuned into things that baby was coming out.
