So far, a friend of mine and I have both experienced this lovely illness. For me, it started with a sore throat that made swallowing very painful - to the point of waking me out of a sound sleep last Sunday night at 2:00 a.m.! That lasted a good 48 hours, and came complete with low fever (of 100), aching legs (why?), headache, and a general rundown feeling.

It progressed over a few days into a stuffy nose (I love pseudoephedrine!), then that changed to a runny nose complete with post nasal drip that burned my throat - even though my throat was technically no longer sore. I keep coughing from the post nasal drip tickle, but it's not a productive cough.

After all of that, I was hoping to be on the mend. Well, my left eye started watering earlier this evening so I laid down hoping it would stop. When I woke up, my eyelashes were stuck together; I have "pink eye" or Conjunctivitis! I'll probably get it in my right eye, too, because I'm sure I rubbed that eye with an infected hand before I knew what it was. *sigh*

I was planning to go to work on Monday, but if this persists, I may just go to the doctor instead! I'm tired of feeling like this; day 6, and I'm still pretty miserable.

Has anyone else experienced this set of symptoms?

Well, yeah...everything but the pink eye.

I had it, my wife had it, my daughter had it. It ran around the whole family I think. Eventually for us, it developed into a deep, gurgling infection in the lungs which had us coughing phlem up from our toes for a couple of weeks.

My daughter went to the doctor and got anti-biotics. So did I after about 2 weeks and it knocked it right out. My wife, on the other hand, is averse to doctors so she just toughed it out for another two weeks or so until it went away on it's own.

Sounds absolutely horrible. hope you're on the mend. You might try taking a tincture of Astralagus to help re-build your immune system...and take lots of C...
