Sperm can still come out BEFORE you feel like ejaculating.

They actually just announced the results of a 40 year study of 46 thousand patients at 1,400 practices showing those who have taken the pill, significantly lengthen their lives and lower the risk of serious disease, including some cancers.

I'm thinking about getting on the pill now.

Study: women who have taken the birth control pill face lower risk of death from cancer, heart disease - Wellness - TIME.com

Hmm, who woulda thunk it'd bring so much trouble?! I took it for only 5 years many years ago, so hopefully it's forgotten.

No, the pill was GOOD. They aren't quite sure why yet, but it's a huge study and there was a very discernable disparity of disease between those who have taken the pill and those who didn't.

I just want to say that I think it's so sad that in this day and age that when people think of having children, they think of it as "ruining lives".

I totally understand that having a child before you are ready is not partially wise, but at the same time, it happens every day, and regardless, people find a way to make it work! For example, I know a really sweet girl who takes care of two boys all by herself; she put herself though collage (Univ of Texas) on a sports scholarship. Today she is a school teacher and just bought her own home in Austin, Tx.

I read that, which is the reason I responded the way I did. I don't feel like crawling on the face of the Earth that long because of some stupid pill I took a lifetime ago.

Leaving it in God's hands. If it happens, I'll have another one. So far this method worked for us for many many years, before and after Max. But I'm not advocating it, it's a risk.
