If at all possible, i would love to hear some advice...

Just today I am getting over a stomach/bug type deal...The ending symptoms have been just plain tiredness, and feeling weak because of not eating...but none the less.

Ever since i have been young(and it has gotten worse since getting older) whenever i feel bad and get sick, especially a flu bug sick, i get very panicky, i have a bad phobia about going to the docs in general. But when i get sick i always worry it is something else other then the typical flu, i obsess about having to end up going to the doc or hospital because i dont get better...i mean its really rough...

THis is funny coming from someone who dropped 800lbs on his face from lifting weights, became blind in one eye, and was at peace through the whole thing.

none the less i would really love to hear some thoughts...its a bad feeling being worrisome, but even worse when you are worrisome and sick at the same time....i need to break this...Im a Christian so it really doesnt show strong faith when i am acting like this. Would love to hear some thoughts besides you should go to a counselor or something...maybe people who experience this, or know ways to act when you get like this...

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Since I don't know how old you are I will say the older we get the longer it takes to recover.

Diet and attitude are so important for physical and mental health.

Mental health is an area that many people don't consider maintenance on. Since you have thought about a therapist and have ruled it out (no counselors) I take it you can handle this anxiety to the extent it's not bad enough to seek professional help.

You indicate you lift weights so you must know how important protein/fiber etc... requirements are (make sure to include B-12 supplement; cyanocobalamin).

When ever I've been really sick and need to recover I've cleaned myself out to get rid of all the crud (literally). Toxins can play havoc with your radar.

We all go through ups and downs; we need to bring out the coping skills.

It doesn't hurt to get a yearly physical check-up.

Light; end of tunnel and all that jazz.

Hoping you feel better CelticViking
