Anyone else her got this? I was just told by the doctor I have it. Does it affect anyone's daily life at all? My sister has it too, but she's not really a good spokes person as she's not exactly following the doctor's orders and has had a heart attack at the age of 30.

I exercise everyday and I eat healthy in general, but do enjoy the occasional chocolate I also don't smoke or drink (sometimes wine for dinner, but rarely- last time was in October so...). Is it recommended that you stay away from alcohol completely?

I'm just really curious about this mutation and I'd like to hear about other people who have it.

I was tested for Factor V Leiden following a venous clot (retinal vein), but my test was negative. Do they have you on some sort of blood thinner?

Not yet. I'm going back to the doctor for consultation tomorrow, but I feel fine and I was quite surprised about the result. I've been doing a lot of research online in the meantime. I think she called me up last Tuesday about the result. I've waited a week and one day to get an appointment already.
