I got 25 which for a foreigner isn't so bad. Some of the stuff about the workings of government I wouldn't actually know about my own country as it's not considered culturally important here to know about the legislative/judiciary etc, (this is the country which manages perfectly well with no Constitution, no Bill of Rights and no civics taught at school). Also, some of those questions could be a matter of opinion with no clear right or wrong.
Maybe this should be tied to national voting eligibility, voting weight is tied to test performance. Different questions for state and local. The test will be written in American of course.
For example, 30-33 correct, you may cast 10 votes
27-30 correct, 5 votes
24-27 3 votes
21 -24 1 vote
below 21, no votes.
Either that, or you may cast the number of votes in proportion to the amount of taxes you pay. The more taxes you pay, the more control or stake in the government (the recipient of your taxes) you have. That's the way corporations operate, voting is proportional to amount of stock shares you hold. A share holder. A stake holder.
And if neither of these two processes works, we can revisit process by which only white male land owners are allowed to cast one vote each, that's it.
30/33. Missed the puritans question, what the government should do to stimulate economic growth, and, sadly, the Gettysburg Address question. I knew that Lincoln had said it, but thought that it may have been older than that.
I got two wrong. One I didn't real carefully enough. The other was #30, Which of the following fiscal policy combinations would a government most likely follow...
I wasn't sure whether they were asking what a government would do or what a government ought to do, which aren't necessarily the same!
