Many of us have heard the story of Troy and sparta right? Well as Troy is remembered as a powerful city that was uilt by the gods themselves. this city was actually discovered in the 18th century by a famous archaeolgist who found the gates of troy. so troy really did exist till this modern day. Sparta was a nation that believed they where the true descendents of hercules themselves are these stories true and will they bring some people back to their faith? Well the ancient city of Troy was a powerful place it was a city older than the great city of athens and its history was only slightened and there isn't many written records that really heighten its power but we do know the descendants of troy are in fact the descendents of Zeus. "they claim." but the story goes much farther than that. Ever heard of the city of Atlantis? Did you ever know many people in history have tried to search for the underwater city including hitler and the presidents even. It is suppose to a place that has a mystical aura and is underwater filled with vast treasures....Plato is known to have said, the location is near the pillars, of hercules.....sounds familiar ehh? well the ancient history of Myths goes back thousands of years yet most of these myths where in fact "first hand accounts." what does that mean someone might ask? they where witnesses to these myths. Not all myths where "first hand accounts." Yet most of them where. The bible for instance "the gospels" where first hand accounts yet people say they all where written centuries after christs death yet if you look at the records the gospels tell that there work is from a much earlier document so it is quite accurate to be exact it tell points of views from different perpectives...is this good or bad? Both we like mystery as human beings we want to know our origins right? Well many people doubted Jesus and his disciples yet if you see they became a dynasty that lasts till today. Myths are in fact truth hidden till the new age reacts to it. Maybe one day we will discover the worlds that are beyond ours. Make way for the return of God or the Gods. So heed their warning of our true destiny and Bless all of humanity for even our myths have some truths to guide us in our future ultimate reality.

Why are people so fascinated by myths, legends, and stories? They give us something we need, like music and comedy. All the great myths come out of the collective unconscious of the human race, or at least that's how I see it.

Research shows that practically all myths and legends stem -- at least in part -- from historical facts and events.

So where's the item for discussion?

Myths don't tell us much about real historical facts. They DO tell us a lot about the cultural values and world views where/when the myths were popular, however.
