It departed Southhampton on its ill-fated voyage exactly 100 years ago today.

I was a gangster in my previous life (according to my friends who think it's hilarious that I can't sit with my back to the door), so I must have been out committing some crime or another.

"Stupid subject line of the week" award.
To answer your question: I can only account, for sure, for one of my relatives by marriage - My great grandfather in law was freezing to death in the North Atlantic Ocean, after seeing the titanic sinking with his own eyes.

Hey, I am the same way! I always say I must have been Wild Bill Hickock in a past life.

I don't want my back to the room when I'm at a restaurant, either.

To answer the OP--I think I was "resting" between incarnations. I'm pretty sure I was at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory the previous year, March 25, 1911.

wow, it's too bad that the Titanic happened along and sunk right in front of him instead of being able to rescue him. If only he had shouted out a warning as it went by...

I was with the group of pranksters preparing the fake Piltdown man fossil which we presented to the London Geological Society that December.

huh???

Exactly how and when he died on that evening is only speculation. I assume he jumped in before the end like many and lingered in the freezing waters and survived long enough to see the ship go under before succumbing to hypothermia.
