I was looking for some type of chart or list of the chain of command of Edson's 1st Raiders and Carlson's 2nd Raiders, and who lead what in the battalions ( mortar, rifle, demo, etc..... Chambers, Walt, Bailey, etc.... what was General Vandegrift doing this whole time from April to Aug 42. Which raiders were the first on the beach at the Guadalcanal? Which raiders when on Tulagi or other islands 1st and did they make it to Guadalcanal? Any detailed, odd, noteworthy information on the Raiders or the invasion of Guadalcanal would be helpful. Maps, charts, diaries, thinks of that nature also. Thank you

This is the official website of the US Marine Raiders. It includes extensive histories on the units including rosters and also has all of the pertinent contact information for the US Marine Raider Foundation. Whatever they don't have on their site, I'm sure they could steer you towards other resources or outright answer the question.

U.S. Marine Raiders - Official Web Site

ETA: According to their site, they have authorized a book: "Our Kind of War: Illustrated Saga of the U.S. Marine Raiders of World War II”, by Raider R. C. Rosenquist , Raider Colonel Martin J. “Stormy” Sexton and Honorary Raider Robert A. Buerlein. They say that book contains pretty much everything known about the Raiders and is a "must have" for anyone interested in the Raiders.

I looked up the book on Amazon and abebooks and it appears to be pretty rare and copies are selling for $200-$300.
