I'd like to go back to the early 1400's and give the native Americans a heads up about the incoming horde of Europeans and arm them with modern weapons for defending their land. Would love to see how that plays out when I return to the present.

Given that most of them didn't like each other and were not averse to attack, it could have ended much the same. If the strongest were all equally armed and decided to test them on each other, then there might not have been much left for europeans to conquer. In the Guns of the South, the alteration didn't make things any better in the end and one might say worse with WW1 a war with a long border on two continents and the like.

If the Inca's had had really good weapons, they might have decided it would be time to clean up, for instance. A lot of smaller players would have been squashed by their own before the Europeans even got there.

They would have wound up massacring each other. Then smallpox would have further decimated them.
