They have been lying to the world for so long that even they believe their lies. They don't realize what they are doing because they are so use to doing it.
Telling the truth about what they do is blackwashing? And their lies are white washing, but the lies are accepted, while the truth is rejected. What's next? Once they see northern Nigerians, will they try to claim them as well? These people have a lot of nerve and it is annoying how they try to steal our history or claim our culture and ethnicities. If they had any real pride at all, they wouldn't be trying so hard to be identified with brown ethnic groups and claim other people the way that they do. they already claimed a lot of african history as being caucasian... Now they are claiming Ethiopia. Soon they will be claiming others as well. They are also trying to claim native americans, and natives are upset about this. Think white man cares? No. It makes him feel good about himself to be identified with another culture that fascinates him, and he can take what he wants. You already stole their land, and erased a lot of their culture, now you are after their identity as well? You people have no respect.
Utter nonsense. In some parts of Ethiopia and Eritrea, they refer to themselves as "the mixed people." I had an Ethiopian partner at work that we so light that people used to think he was a light skinned Hispanic. Most Ethiopians are comfortably "black," but they are indeed a mixed race and self-identify in various ways.
It helps to know something...anything at all...about the culture you are commenting on.
As for white men identifying with other cultures, no, we are just fine with Mycenaean Greece, Minoan Greece, Classical Greece, The Roman Republic and Empire, The Byzantine survival of the Empire, The Carolingian Empire, The Holy Roman Empire, etc. right into modern times.
We aren't culture vultures like the Afrocentrists, trying to reach out and steal Egypt, Mexico, Shang China, India etc.

I remember reading a National Geographic of the Ethiopia monarch Haile Selassie once admonishing whites. It went something like this: "You are not white, but pink. We are white." Perhaps he was joking, but Peter Ustinov, part Ethiopian, called himself "Pink" in the sense of complexion, in a similar joking manner. We may see a trend here. For reasons well beyond this site, post or thread, Subsaharan Africa was for many years a very difficult place to maintain a literate culture that really lasted and spread. The Fulani may have had a shot, and most clear examples like the Nubians are on the fringe -- as was the case in Northern Europe two thousand years ago.
Though not personally religious, IIRC there is no description of Jesus in the Bible. The best we get is that when the Romans came to arrest him, the soldiers could not identify the right person. They had to get help from Judas to point him out. This, according to a short Discovery Magazine article about 4 years ago, presented the prima facie that Jesus was very unremarkable for a leader. In fact, their reconstruction was of a balding, hooked nose, recessed chin, swarthy guy who looked like a combination of Alfred E. Neuman and Yasir Arafat.
(Even better was their article on Julius Caesar, which there is a curious statue maintained by a clear supporter in his lifetime circa 40's BC and unearthed some time ago. He looks much more like Danny Devito and Joe Pesci than those wonderful classical statues we see in the history books. According to that article, all non uniform statues were ordered destroyed, just like almost all likeness of Virgin Queen Elizabeth I were ordered destroyed of her aging years. One of the two remaining recently popped up in North Carolina of all places. Cultures and Monarchies do stuff like this apparently.)

Race is an abstraction and a social construction so everyone can put away their mitochondrial DNA as "proof". The irrational Afrocentrism of the OP is a reaction to the whitewashing effect. Hopefully if you engage in graduate studies in history you will have a professor or committee member that requires you to read a text such as "Eight Eurocentric Historians" by J.M. Blaut to prevent you from being laughed out of the room for your dissertation or thesis proposal defense when using many of the weak, unsubstantiated arguments you read on City-Data. Why can Europeans superimpose themselves in the historical annals of every continent based on actually trivial "genetic" features such as skin color, eye color, and particularly hair color? Because Europeans are the only human "continental group" not having just eye color and hair color:
If you bother to read the article (or at least look at the map), you will see that these "European" traits (which are found singularly on every other continent) are not particularly widespread and "Europeaness" halts immediately at the geographic doorsteps of Asia and Africa.
This concept of "race" has largely been propogated during the era of global capitalism and the historical figures we are assigning race to never reflected upon themselves in this way. Africans never called themselves Africans, Asians never called themselves Asian, and so on and so forth. So for example, these are images of Amenhotep III, pharoah of Kemet at its zenith (he would have had no idea what an "Egypt" was), that were produced during his lifetime:
You can now feel free to assess why he looks the way he does. While doing so, ask yourself, is this assessment based on the reality of Amenhotep III's time or your own contemporary perceptions of "race"?

I have already demonstrated that the Egyptians are not black. dozens of DNA tests show that they are primarily a mixture of North Africa (phenotypically similar to middle easterners, since they evolved at a similar latitude) and actual middle easterners, and have been since the stone ages. Sure, there is a bit of sub-Saharan in there, but it has actually INCREASED, not DECREASED, in modern time side to the Arab slave trade. That has been proven by the Dakleh Oasis mummies.
Each of the categories described is a fiction:
Physical Anthropology- Skull measurements are all over the board. Diop used selective sampling. What is more, not all Africans are "black."
Melanin tests- Are not a part of mainstream science. They are simply not legitimate. What is more, it is known that natron, the substance used in creating mummies, increases melanin.
Osteological Evidence- afrocentrists claim that the limb lengths of Badarian peoples indicate negroid body plan. They do not. Egytpains to this day have similar limb lengths, and are not primarily a "black" people. In fact, Egyptians limb lengths grew over time indicating evolution in action. What is more, as noted above, not all Africans are "black" anyway.
Evidence From Blood Types- I have seen it said exactly the apposite, but even if true, it proves that they are NOT black. If they are the same people as they have always been, then they are not black, as they are not primarily black today.
The Egyptians as They Saw Themselves- Afrocentric nonsense. Kmt means "black lands" just as Dshrt means "red lands." It is the word that our modern "desert" is derived from, and it refers to the soil.
Cultural Unity of Egypt With The Rest of Africa- Has nothing to do with race
Divine Epithets- gods were depicted as black because of connection with the fertile soil. This has been the cause of much confusion amongst afrocentrists as they think that the odd statue of pharaoh depicted ins symbolic blackness is literal.
Linguistic Unity With Southern and Western Africa- Diop "clearly demonstrate" that Wolof is connected to ancient Egyptian, and yet he is not a linguist and it is not accepted by mainstream scholarship. Wolof is Niger-Congo, Egyptian was from the Afro-asiatic language group.
Testimony of Classical Greek and Roman Historians- classical Greek authors did not describe them as black. The described them as "Melanchroes," a word which describes swarthy Greeks. In the Odyssey, Odysseus is described as melanchroes.
DNA Evidence (BONUS)- The DNA evidence was falsified on not one, but two levels. Albert Zink, who took the measurements from for a JMA steudy, admitted that every time her ran them, he got something different. The indication was that he was measuring contamination. He published results anyway.
The problem was further compounded because the DNA tribes organization used a comically low number of markers. They used 8 when at least thirty would be needed for anything of minimum scientific validity. Even if the initial data was valid (it wasn't) they might only be talking about a miniscule amount of DNA.
What is more, it was measuring a New Kingdom dynasty long suspected of being Nubia. How that proves that the original Egyptians are black is beyond me.

it's no question that most sicilians and most italians south of salerno have african ancestors. I live around nothing but italians, puerto ricans and blacks. The cultural similarities are astounding when compared to that of german, irish or some other european-americans. Of course i probably wouldn't say this to my italian grandparents, they're the product of a delusional generation whose heritage has been effectively erased from history. It's sad and it's a result of nothing more than racism. I'd like to change that. African history has been raped and destroyed by europeans.
It's not even just the sicilians. Spanish, portuguese, greek, albanian, cypriot, turkish and most notoriously, egyptian groups have had their african heritage erased by our eurocentric society. Egyptian civilization has been stolen from africa. American and european schools teach that egyptians were caucasian rather than african. Numerous egyptian monuments have been altered throughout history by europeans. Notably, the sphinx has been vandalized to hide the african features on the face of the great landmark. The whitewashing of ancient egypt is so obvious and pathetic it's not even funny. This has been practised since the 1000s and still continues to this day through the downplay and suppression of evidence in an attempt to make the african people look inferior to whites, as if they could've never created an advanced society.
Ancient greek and roman civilizations have likewise been whitewashed throughout history. Africoid features in ancient art have been destroyed by whites. Greco-roman gods such as apollo, zeus, hercules and athena were all based on african deities. In fact, the entire basis of european society was taken from africa! Eurocentric universities teach their students that our societies are based on the greek system, but they hide the fact that greece's society was the offspring of sub-saharan african civilizations from centuries prior.
In addition, biblical figures were all african in origin. Jesus christ himself was a black man and the bible will prove it. It is said that jesus has "thick, nappy hair like wool and brass skin." even the prophet muhammad was described as having "frizzy" hair and a skin color "as black as night." why do we cover up these details when teaching religion? Even so called christians and muslims have no idea that their entire belief system is thanks to african ideology. Religion once considered africoid features, especially the hair texture to be "divine." imagine that!
As much as white society hates to admit it, africa is to thank for paper, the alphabet, chemistry, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and just about every other school of mathematics, all the way down to "arabic" numerals. Where would the world be without these elements of our society? We would be a primitive people.
And so it continues to this day. Ever since the dawn of the 20th century, europeans have shoved africans to the side and taken credit for the innovation of just about every aspect of our popular culture. From vaudeville to jazz to the cell phone to rock and roll to dance to fashion to body image to cuisine and yes, now hip hop. Each of these and thousands more have been stolen from black americans over the past 100 years. It's sickening. I'm appalled by what is going on. African culture is a beautiful thing that has been butchered beyond the point of no return. The pale, albinistic offspring (i could get into that for days, but i'll hold for now) of the african people have historically been an enemy of pure evil. I'd really love to unite us, but i fear the more i learn about history the harder that is going to become.
