Spectacular discoveries in excavation of old Canaanite palace in northern Israel. Huge wine cellar, plus frescoed walls, etc.

A fascinating glimpse into the past - seems Canaan was not just a land of milk and honey!

I do wonder about those frescoes from the Aegean Islands referred to in this article - wish the writer had given a bit more detail. Obviously, frescoes are created on-site - so what's the connection with the Aegeans? Artist? Subject matter? Did someone edit out the particulars, or is this just sloppy reporting?

The Minioans, or Keftiu if you go by Egyptology, were involved in Mediterranean Sea trade between Mycenae on the Euro mainland, the Canannites of the Levant as well the Nile and coast of modern northeastern Libya.

Aegean frescoes have also been found in the ruins of the Semitic dynasties who ruled from the eastern Nile Delta region before the New Kingdom.
