Political correctness? Appears so. We certainly don't want to offend our Japanese friends, do we?

No links – because there are none! A lot of military blogs deal with it but the vast majority of Americans seem to not want to be reminded.

Oh, grow up.

A simple google of 'pearl harbor cnn' shows at least three articles from CNN alone.
http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/07/us/life-pearl-harbor/
http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/06/travel/hawaii-pearl-harbor-vet/
http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/07/us/pearl-harbor-70th-anniversary/

All in all, pretty good coverage for something that happened 72 years ago.

So, your claim that there are no links is nothing but a lie. And for what? All to whine about political correctness which, in this case, does not exist. (Your notion that CNN decides what to cover based on what will or won't offend the Japanese is amusingly absurd)

Front page of the local paper had a big photo of 3 Pearl Harbor veterans.

So much for your bogus bellyaching.

I found lots of specials on tv, and interviews with Pearl Harbor veterans on the news. One of the Denver networks even had an hour long prime time special. I saw a lot of American flags being flown around here.

The sneak attack on Pearl Harbor will never be forgotten.

It happened over 70 years ago, it isn't really relevant anymore to the lives of most Americans or Japanese.

The 72nd anniversary of anything simply isn't big news.

In 2018, the OP will probably be complaining because programs commemorating the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor will preempt his favorite reality TV show.
