Default Year famous people would have died if they lived until 80

Napoleon-1849
MLK-2009

Sort of interesting, that is all.
Here is one from more then 400 years ago.

King Edward VI of England
Son of Henry VIII
if Edward lived to 80 he would have lived until 1617

If that happened his two sisters, Queen Mary I (Bloody Mary) and Queen Elizabeth I would never have come to the throne.

In real life, Queen Elizabeth, the "Virgin Queen", had no children so when she died the Stuart dynasty of Scotland inherited the English throne. But if Edward had lived he would most likely had produced heirs and the Stuarts may never had come to England - and possibly there would never be a union of Scotland and England to produce Great Britain! Possibly no English Civil War or Glorious Revolution. Not to mention that without a "Virgin Queen", the states of Virginia and West Virginia would have a different name.

In real life, the Stuart Dynasty died out with Anne and was replaced by the House of Hanover (and todays Windsors) but its possible that the Tudors line might have continued and there might even be a Tudor on the English throne today. If so then no George III*, Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth II.

That's a lot of possible changes because of the early death of one teenager 450 years ago!

* would a different monarch from George III handled things differently in 1776?

Which is fine. I think even Wickapedia can be trusted for the dates of birth. Its the more opinionated stuff you have to be careful of.

Possibly not. After all, didn't British monarchs already lose most of their power during the Glorious Revolution?

I meant to ask this in that previous post of mine: How exactly did you try guessing alternate years of death for them?

I just picked a plausible number for age of death. I believe it is slightly higher than the average age of death for the general population currently. Even several decades ago, many people lived until 80, especially if they had access to medical treatment, etc. It shows that many famous people who died young but had lived would be impacting newer generations and eras. MLK and RFK could easily have spoken at the 2000 Democratic Convention. History books can be showing photos of an old Napoleon in the 1840s instead of paintings by David.

The age of 90 or 100 seems incredibly high. Many on my lists such as JFK or MLK would still be alive LOL. Hitler could have seen the Berlin Wall come down possibly in 1989 from his jail cell ( yeah I know they would have executed him at Nuremberg).
