Saw a documentary program of mysteries of churches and places of worship. There was a mosque in Paris which did it's part to protect Jews from Nazis in WW2. They'd issue Muslim birth certificates or hide Jews in the tunnels. In one case, a popular Jewish singer was protected by a headstone. The Nazis didn't believe he was Muslim. The mosque set up a fake headstone with the singer's father's name as further proof and the Nazis bought it. While this mosque was doing good, Muslims in the Middle East were supporting the Nazis. It's a shame that if this happened today, members of that mosque would be more likely to turn in or execute the Jews themselves.
