Anyone who has studied history knows that the world has many stories about groups who strongly believe a certain way of life or religion is right will fight and kill thousands as they push for land and power. The beaten residents of the area taken over by the stronger fighters adopt or die.

The strong will survive and the group that has the most passionate believers will take over until a new group even more powerful and passionate takes over years later in a new battle.

Why is it America's business to tell the ISIS group to stop their fight for what they believe and gain new believers as they move across Iraq? War for religion has occurred since the dawn of time and will always occur. The current battles in Iraq is just a continuation of what has always happened.

It's no different than when the Protestants fought the Catholics in the 16th and 17th Centuries.

No, no, no. Your concept is all wrong. It's not a war of religion in Iraq, religion might be used as the justification, but it's a false one.
It's a war for power and control. It's almost tribal in nature, I submit that these types of conflicts predate religion.

Number one reason for any war is economical. This is where it starts.

It's about whether Shiites or Sunnis will get preferential treatment and better jobs and better opportunities in Iraq in the future. It's an Islamic Northern Ireland.

First of all, it isn't a religious war in Iraq. It's a war for power.

Secondly, there has never been a religious war. There have been wars in which the participants used religion as their justification, but the motivation wasn't "My God is better than you God." The motivation was, is, and always will be the economics of power.

ISIS are nothing than bandits. Don't give them money, equipment and weapon and they will be wiped out to the desert sand.

Because of oil. Stuff like this happens in Africa and at best they get a movie or documentary about it.
