Have been watching a series called Apocalypse: WWI on the American Heroes Channel (formerly the Military Channel). I knew the chain of events that led to this war was a convoluted mess but I hadn't seen it so clearly laid out like this before and with actual video of the major players involved. Truly, this was the most useless and pointless war. It also changed the way wars were fought and even brought about the banning of weapons like chemical gas weapons. There were no good guys nor bad guys in this war.
