She, along with other co-conspiraters were hanged for the assassination of Lincoln, and while she didn't actually shoot or kill anyone she did provide refuge for them, do you think her execution was justified as a traitor?

I don't think her hanging was justified. From my understanding, there's little evidence making her one of the actual conspirators although it seems likely she was at least somewhat aware of what the plotters were up to, I don't think that warrants her execution, or even a lengthy jail sentence. If the Confederate leadership was spared, I don't see how one could justify hanging Mrs. Surratt.

Probably not but she was well involved with the plotters. I suppose she should have just been thrown in prison like Dr Mudd....who, contrary to his family,s long time efforts to convince otherwise, was not so innocent.

It's all a judgement call by those who make the judgements at the time. For them, Surrat was equally guilty and deserved death, despite the fact that her co-conspirators pleaded on her behalf for a lesser sentence. I believe Lincoln would not have approved of her death.

She wouldn't have been hung now. None of them would have been, except for Booth perhaps.
