...where would you put yourself in history? Say you only had 24 hours to spend somewhere in time, what time period would you prefer?

Id love to go back to Gettysburg and witness the event, preferably the 2nd day or Armistad's charge on the 3rd day. Either that or go back and see Joan of Arc, or maybe witness the D-Day invasion on Omaha Beach. You?

If I could go back and remain etherial (ie not be able to be touched/harmed but merely to observe) I would like to:

1) Go back to witness the eruption of Thera (Santorini) - an event that may well have give rise to the Atlantis legend to see what really happened.

If I could go back and interact with the people there (ie, speak their language etc) I would (in this order):

1) Visit with Christ to see just what the man was really like and why he affected the world so profoundly

2) Tour Imperial Rome at it's peak.

3) See the sights of Ancient Egypt

4) Tour ancient Babylon at it's peak

5) Tour the very earliest of cities in the Fertile Crescent.

Ken

PS to LeafsFan85 - That's a very admirable request.

Since only 24 hours i would love to go back to Jan 20 1985 as that was my alltime favorate Super Bowl as the San Francisco 49ers 17-1 defeated the Miami Dolphins 16-2 by a score of 38 to 16.

It was super hyped as the 49ers had Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and John Taylor as the high powered wideouts and the Dolphins had Dan Marino with Mark Duper and Mark Clayton as the high powered wideouts.

Yeap i'd love to go back and see that game !!

6/3

I would try to save Brandon Lee, Bruce Lee's son who died on the set when filming The Crow.
He was accidentally shot by a live bullet.

I know I should pick something profound from history, but I am honestly more interested in my own lifetime- like the guy on Quantum Leap.

You know, 6/3, there is probably a video of that complete game!!

I would love to spend 24 hours in an Old West town but then I would probably never enjoy a Western movie or TV show again!
