I am watching Sparticus and there have been a few non-whites fighting primarily of African descent.
My question is would that have been the case back in Roman times? Would you ever see men of African, Asian, Middle Eastern etc. descent fight as a gladiator?
I am absoutely positive that in imperial times, they did. Since the empire included North Africa, Syria, and Anatolia, and even very briefly extended as far east as Armenia, Mesopatamia and Assyria, the answer would be "yes." On top of all of that, they invaded Nubia, negotiated it to client state status, and maintained trade with India.
Now, would you see black galdiators in Spartucus' time specifically? It is certainly possibly given that they had conquered Carthage, but it is less likley since they had not conquered Egypt and had limited contact with Nubia. Perhaps through contact with the Garamantes civilization?
