I doubt over the millenia, that the reason a persons skin color is what it is, has changed. the closer to the equator your ancestors were, the darker the pigment. The peoples of Meditteranean Egypt would have been lighter than Egyptians living further south toward Ethiopia. The Southern Egyptians would have mixed with the darker Ethiopians while the lighter Northern Egyptians would have mixed with many peoples because of Alexandria being a world commerce center.

Also, through the annals of time, rulers,no matter thier skin color, have betrothed thier heirs to the heirs of other rulers. No matter the skin color. Therfore, over time, people could be ANY COLOR!
To my final response to the OP question I'm going to say NO. I don't think they were black. Thats my final answer. I researched some about other civilizations and if they were black they were the only people that somehow went backwards after them days. While others either stayed the same or went forward. The Egyptains had to be a different race other than black. But possible they were half black and Middle Eastern. EW

Not true. Look at the aboriginal people in Australia and New Zealand. As far as "distance from the equator" they are as far away as Europeans really.

Perhaps they are more "recently" arrived? I personally do not know, just a guess. Their builds are a lot different than black Africans. They are also indigenous peoples in India that are considered "black." Both areas are within the Tropic zone.
And the Maori in New Zealand are a Polynesian people.
Actually, I do not believe I am again engaging in this silly discussion.
Why does every black person according some to white people must look african. If they are lighter or don't have certain portrayls of black people like way the media image of how a black person looks. They can be considered black when whites are from africa also. Is a person not white even if he doesn't look african . Exactly what is looking african. The original egyptians were black. Moses was a black israelite who married a ethiopian and was mistaken for a black egyptian. For moses to go to egypt and spend the night he had to look like everybody else. He had to be able to fit in with the other egyptians.
We might have come to the agree to disagree point in this discussion!
