Of course I know of what went on in America and there were terrible things which happened but 'separate but equal' is not one of those things. If is was a bad thing then the UK Black Police Officers are guilty of it too.

Thanks for your advice though

Not wanting to give you any unsolicited advice but just so you're aware, Plessy v. Ferguson shows up on most/all lists of the Worst US Supreme Court Decisions. Here's a page listing just one such list:

"...4. Plessy v. Ferguson (1896): The Court's famous "separate but equal" ruling upheld state segregation laws. In doing so, the Court made sure that the gains of the post-Civil War reconstruction era were quickly replaced by decades of Jim Crow laws. ..."

13 Worst Supreme Court Decisions of All Time - U.S. Supreme Court

American people respect the Supreme Court however realize they're not infallible. After all, the United States of America is not a theocracy.

Wow! That thread was a hell of roller coaster ride! I'm wondering if the OP was anticipating that kind of response. I guess anytime you produce historical pictures of a time that people weren't treated as equals you could elicit some passionate responses. - But if you look at things from a world wide perspective - every country has it's population sector that one group or another dumps on. It's human nature and we suck for it!

Aye, true enough. The whites were slaves in Africa and there is hardly a word about that. It can happen anywhere.

No, they're not.

If you had one police force for white people and a separate police force for black people, you might have a point.

As it is, you're starting to sound more and more like a typical American racist who justifies his position by saying "Hey, black people do it too!"

you didn't know they were white slaves? ever heard of the Barbary Slave Trade? Lasted over 4 centuries, 15th to 19th Century.

The European slaves were acquired by Barbary Pirates in slave raids on ships and by raids on coastal towns from Italy to Spain, Portugal, France, England, the Netherlands, and as far afield as Ireland and Iceland. Men, women, and children were captured, to such a devastating extent that vast numbers of sea coast towns were abandoned.

I read about this when I was in 8th grade in our world history class.

I was wondering when the label 'racist' would be used. I'm not disappointed. My attitude is those who point the finger and use the racist, bigot slur should remember that there are three fingers pointing back at themselves.
