Very good points. The Bill of Rights went way beyond the Magna Carta in regards to recognizing individual rights. It is interesting though that the early democracy was willing to grant individuals sweeping freedoms, but limited their ability to select the leaders.

The core ideals were old, but the totality of the specificity in how they were expressed was unique. For example: Trial by jury, innocent until proven guilty, Freedom of all forms of forms of religion (not just the Freedom to choose the official church, sect or even general religion), full freedom of speech (instead of just freedom of private , or household thought).
